Laundry Night Party

Wed Aug 10, 2005, 6:43 PM
Something I heard from Seinfeld and being that I was doing my laundry, I just wanted to expand on it.

Oh yeah, it's the night all clothes dream about-taking that trip to the washer and dryer to just go nuts with the rest of the clothes they don't get to see that often. The shirts and the socks get to rock out together and the underwear finally gets to see what the shorts and pants actually look like. I tell you, it's a scene.

Who gets invited to the party? Everybody. We don't discriminate. You're all goin in. I don't care about colors, darks, lights, whatever. Jeans go in with the socks and undershirts, doesn't matter. Black socks and white shirts, you're goin in together. I have yet to see anything change colors and until I do, this policy remains in effect. It makes things go quicker, one and done people. Then it's over to the dryer for the after party.

The one thing I will not allow is putting pants or non-tshirts in the dryer. They cost a little more so we need to be a little more careful. Tshirts, if they shrink, all the better as long as they're wearable. In fact, in this case, I encourage shrinkage. Always seem to buy things a little bigger anyway.

Finally, the folding. I've become quite the master of folding. I saw this thing once that people would use to fold shirts. It was a square outline to fold the shirts around to make sure everything was folded the same size--LAZY.

Fold the stuff and put it back, wear it again, get it dirty, wash it, dry it, fold it...It's a vicious cycle.

Oh Laundry Night, oh how we enjoy it!

Or Not...At least everything gets clean, to some degree :) :meditate:
